Part Guide

Please use our part guide to help you learn more about the parts that you are needing. Once you click on one of the parts below it will show an image of the part and also have a brief description telling you what the part is used for. All images are for reference only. In most cases the images will not be for your particular vehicle. These images are just to give you an idea of what your part may look like.

A-Arm Front - Lower - Also known as a control arm, this parts looks similar to a wishbone, each end of the arm pivots and is used to attach suspension parts to the frame. It  is set up to control the motion of the wheel throughout suspension travel.

A-Arm Front - Upper -
Also referred to often as a control arm which is the Upper Front part that attaches the suspension members to the chassis with each end of the arm pivoting. It will help control the motion of the wheel throughout suspension travel.

A-Arm Rear - Lower -
Each Arm has two mounting points with one going to the chassis and the other one at the knuckle. The shock absorber and coil springs are mounted to the wishbones to control vertical movement. The arm helps control the motion of the wheel throughout suspension travel.

AC Accumulator -
The primary function is to isolate the ac compressor from any damaging liquid refrigerant. The accumulators remove debris and moisture from the air conditioning system.

AC Assembly -
This is the complete assembly that provides you with cold air in the summer. It is mainly made up of the ac compressor and clutch, the ac condenser, the evaporator, the ac hoses that carry the refrigerant, the accumulator and a few other parts.

AC Blower Motor -
This is the fan motor that is used to control your ac and heat. It has several different speed settings that you can use to adjust how much cold or hot air that you want at any given time.

AC Compressor -
This is the heart of your ac system. it is belt driven and is responsible for compressing and transferring refrigerant gas.

AC Compressor Bracket -
This is the metal bracket that is used to mount your ac compressor.

AC Compressor Clutch -
The clutch is the part that engages when you turn your ac on. The belt turns freely on the clutch pulley until the ac is turned on, once it is  turned on the clutch will engage and make the ac compressor start pumping the freon throughout the cars ac system.

AC Condenser -
The condenser looks very similar to your radiator. The condenser's function is to radiate heat. It must have good air flow when it is in operation.

AC Condenser Fan -
Also referred to as an AC fan motor. The AC condenser fan motor is responsible for pulling air through the coils of the AC condenser.

AC Controls -
These are the controls on your dash where you control the temperature and you may also control the speed of the fan or blower motor.

AC Evaporator -
The evaporator has several functions, it serves as the heat absorption component that will remove heat from the inside of your car and dehumidify.

AC Evaporator Housing -
This is the compartment or box where the evaporator is mounted and completely enclosed. It is normally mounted near the back of the engine in the firewall.

AC Hose/Line -
These lines are specially made to allow the free flow of both hot and cold liquid and gas to the various components of your ac system.

AC Relay -
Most of the American built cars do have a relay on the air conditioner. It is usually located under the hood. It may be on the firewall, the inner fender or on the motor. Signals the ac to turn on and off.
